ArtScoops  is  delighted  to  be  hosting  the  charity  auction  ‘Art Saves Lives’,  for  the  non-profit  organisation, Roads for Life – The Talal Kassem Fund for Post Accident Care.

The sale will begin on ArtScoops’ platform, with bidding opening online on Thursday, November 8 at 5am until Saturday, November 17, at 5pm and culminating in a live auction on Sunday, November 18, at 7pm, at Le Yacht Club Beirut where the artworks will be available for viewing from 6 to 10pm.

Roads for Life was set up by Zeina Kassem in 2011, following the tragic death of her son, Talal, who was killed by a car, when crossing a road on his way to school, aged just 17. The charity strives to help save as many lives as possible during the first 60 minutes of trauma – known as the golden period – by educating doctors, nurses and paramedics in advanced post-trauma care skills and techniques. It also works to raise awareness about the consequences of dangerous driving and campaigns for new legislation to improve the safety on roads.

The auction is being organised in collaboration with the American motorcycle manufacturer, Harley-Davidson. Several of the artists participating in the event have teamed up with the legendary firm to make creatively designed crash helmets the subject of their featured artworks.

Artists whose work will be on sale include: Ashekman; Bokja; Karim Chaya; Karen Chekerdjian; Nada Debs; Hania Farrell;     Gregory Gatserelia;     Yazan Halwani;     Bernard Khoury;     Jamil Molaeb;     Roger Moukarzel; Selim Mouzannar;    Jean-Marc Nahas;     Rana Salam   and   Katya Traboulsi.
