About this artwork
"The art piece which is basically a lampshade displaying on special canvas the doodles of Talal that are drawn in a Tiffany style.
The symbolism of it being a source of light is quite evident.
While the emergency kit is within reach but cleverly tucked inside the base of the lampshade with easy and simple access to it when needed as all it takes is to lift the shade from the rod and grab the kit inside.
TALAL was the obvious title for my creative work, as he has been and remains the source of inspiration for Zeina through “Roads for Life” for all the humanitarian initiatives aiming at saving the precious lives of as many other “TALAL”s as possible.
The kit aims to be the source of convalescence to many people at the right moment at the right place.
As his doodles were my inspirations 10 years ago when I designed the two benches on the Ain Mreisse corniche, similarly this time around I felt that it would only be natural that my creation for the LifeBox be dedicated to TALAL in recognition to all what he has achieved after his tragic accident that took him away from his parents and loved ones.
Every time the kit saves a life, we know for sure that Talal’s mission is alive and serving its purpose."
