LEBANON | UNTITLED

Marking Artscoops’ first show outside of Lebanon and organised in partnership with Janet Rady Fine Art at the Cromwell Place, London, from June 7 till June 11, 2023.

This milestone exhibition features artworks by contemporary and modern Lebanese artists. The works include paintings, mixed media pieces, and sculptures by both emerging and established artists, spanning a broad range of price points. Highlights include ‘The Crow and the Fox’, one of Willy Aractingi’s renowned paintings from his series of illustrations for the fables of Jean de La Fontaine, a rare oil on canvas by the popular artist Samia Osseiran Junblatt and a typically detailed figurative piece in Chinese ink on canvas by Laure Ghorayeb, the celebrated artist who sadly passed away this year. Other creatives featured include Hussein Madi, known for his colourful paintings combining abstract design and Islamic art-inspired motifs, and Assadour Bezdikian, whose in-demand oils on canvas are rare finds.

Audiences will also find artworks by Juliana Séraphim, displaying her hallmark dream-like imagery from childhood memories, and Huguette Caland, known for her erotic figurative representations of the female form.
