Scoop was the result of an ongoing project that explored woodcarving and the countless possibilities that could be achieved with hand-carving wood: an artisanal craft that is near to extinction in Lebanon.
This set is of six candle-holders, each specially hand-carved to fit a standard sized tea candle. Each piece is slightly different from the other. And with wood as a material, the grain, texture and different hand movements at each carving, accentuate the beautiful uniqueness of the handmade. Scoop was on show in “Nocturne Majlis” exhibition, “Art of Dining” by Architectural Digest Middle East.
