About Carolin Semerjian
Carolin Semerjian was born in Damascus, Syria in 1994. Young Syrian Armenian painter on the rise with an abstract body of works in which the colors crisscross through short, dynamic brushstrokes and flowing lines are interspersed on the pastel shade patches.
Semerjian earned a Bachelor’s degree from the Damascus University, Faculty of Fine Arts in 2015, and her master’s degree at Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts in 2020; the artist developed her skills and undertook several internships in Lebanon, Armenia, Georgia, and Romania working alongside with international artists such as Emmanuel Paul Guiragossian and with the late Wajih Nahle`.
Semerjian also works as an art curator and events organizer, meanwhile, she is the manager of ‘Scancelli Gallerie’ and art curator in Yerevan and for the time being Semerjian works as the assistant producer for Biennale 2020 in Yerevan, she also served as an art gallery director at the ‘Musee of Emmanuel Guiragossian’ in Lebanon and dedicated her time to volunteer as an art curator at AGBU Armenia.
Semerjian’s artworks exhibited multiple times in Syria, Italy, Germany, Yerevan, and the USA alongside her two solo exhibitions.
