Carolin Semerjian
Follow ArtistBorn in Damascus, Syria in 1994, stands as a distinguished figure in the realm of Syrian Armenian art history and painting. Graduating with a master's degree from the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts in 2020, she embarked on her Ph.D. journey with a focus on "Modern Art in the Middle East." Throughout her career, Semerjian has cultivated a breadth of experience through internships spanning various countries, and has collaborated with esteemed artists such as Emmanuel Paul Guiragossian and Wajih Nahle`.
In 2021, Semerjian received the prestigious "Komitas 150" golden medal from Armenia's Ministries of Defense and Culture, lauding her as the "Best Artist of the Year." Her appointment as Armenia's arts representative in the UAE in 2023 by the Diplomatic Club of Armenia further underscores her recognition and influence in the artistic sphere.
Since 2011, Semerjian has been actively engaged as an art curator and events organizer, alongside her endeavors as an artist. She has held two solo exhibitions, one at the Fateh Moudarres Gallery in Syria and another at the AGBU Space in Armenia, in addition to participating in numerous group shows throughout her career worldwide.
