Original Arabic Movie Posters

Artscoops first online exhibition for the year 2016 uncovers a series of incredibly interesting original posters promoting Egyptian and Lebanese films that date from the fifties and sixties as well as from the seventies and eighties.

Reminiscence of the golden age of the Egyptian and Lebanese cinema, the 20 posters plus, feature Faten Hamama with Omar Sharif in “Dark Waters” 1956, Sabah with Fahd Ballan in “Joy of the Youth” 1964, Fayrouz in “The Ring Seller” 1965, Mohammad Abdelwahab with Rakiya Ibrahim in “Bullet in the Heart” 1944, and other popular film stars of that period such as Zubayda Tharwat, Souad Husni, Farid al Atrash, Nadia Loutfi , and others.
