Artscoops to take part among the media partners of  Contemporary Istanbul’s 11th edition

Artscoops is teaming up with the organisers of Contemporary Istanbul (CI), Turkey’s leading international art fair, for the 2016 edition of the show in November.

The online platform for the MENA region will act as a media partner for CI, in a move that highlights Artscoops’ commitment to supporting talent across the regional and global art scene.

Based in Istanbul, CI is a yearly show, featuring works by selected contemporary artists from Turkey and around the world. The 11th edition of the event is set to be the organisers’ biggest to date, with visitor numbers expected to top 100,000, up from 86,000 in 2015.

Raya Mamarbachi, director at Artscoops said she welcomed the opportunity to support the forthcoming edition of CI, adding that helping artists to reach new audiences was high on the online platform’s agenda.

                             

“It is perhaps timely that one of our recent exhibitions showcased a delightful collection of miniatures and sketches from Turkey,” she noted. “Our shows are diverse, as is our range of featured artists. Teaming up with CI will provide us with a great opportunity to support new talent from across the region and I look forward to participating in what will surely be an exciting initiative.”

The 2016 edition of CI will take place between November 3rd – 6th at the Istanbul Congress Centre (ICC) and Istanbul Convention and Exhibition Centre (ICEC). The show will feature several new attractions, including over 100 pieces from private collections, and a strong list of participating international galleries.
