Walking Alone- from the series 'Another Stranger'

Born in Beirut in the years preceding the Civil War, Berine Pharaon is a self-taught photographer interested in exploring the multiple complexities and contrasts in the spaces dear to her heart, leaving her observer to discover and interpret her work freely. Through her lens, she grips to a documenting, yet intellectually and artistically unique vantage point, suggesting our alienation and her feeling of estrangement in her own land. Her series Another Stranger was exhibited publicly and applauded in Asnières-sur-Seine in 2018.
