ArtScoops is delighted to present a selection of works by three talented contemporary Central Asian artists in collaboration with the Andakulova Gallery in an online auction that will run from May 28 to June 11.
The featured artists are:
Bakhodir Jalal, from Uzbekistan, renowned at home as a brilliant painter whose work combines his professional skills as a graphic artist with the inspiration he finds in Uzbek culture and Oriental mysticism, as seen in on-sale pieces such as ‘Days in Hyde Park’.
Timur Akhmedov, also from Uzbekistan, known for his vibrant pieces in which European and Central Asian elements and influences merge, clearly evidenced in the ‘Untitled’ auction works. His artwork features in several private and corporate collections.
Moscow-born Timur D’Vatz, who looks to ancient histories, early Byzantine art, medieval tapestries and mythology for inspiration in his vibrant, emblematic and figurative art. ‘Falconers’ and ‘Medieval Garden’ are brilliant examples of his signature style.
Recognised as one of the greatest Uzbek artists of all time, Javlon Umarbekov draws on his cultural heritage in his work, while also embracing the external influences of time spent abroad. His hallmark eye for detail and mastery of the brush are clearly evident in pieces such as the featured Tuareg Family.
