BEAR IN MIND- BEARS FROM LEADING ARTISTS AND DESIGNERS FROM THE MIDDLE EAST
The BEAR PVC SHOW TOUR has landed on Artscoops! The bear, presented here as an object of design, has been considered in Native American Culture and many parts of Asia as a protector and a symbol of good luck. Its power and ability to hibernate throughout the winter have contributed to the animal being worshipped during the Han Dynasty in China and becoming the totem animal for some cultures, exhibited on the flag of the state of California and the mascot for multiple institutions.
Artists from the Middle East and beyond were given the same 15 inches white origin bear and have each personalised it, marking it with their talent and creativity. The bears, which have been exhibited in Beirut and Dubai previously, are featured in this online auction, displaying unique works of art by Alfred Tarazi, Asma Belhamar, Clara Gebran, Flavia Codsi, Fulvio Codsi, Hussein Al Mohasen, Joshua Watts, Leo Burnett-Beirut, Maisoon Al Saleh, Nadine Kanso, Raed Abillama and Zayan Ghandour.
Bidding is live from January 23rd to February 2nd, 2018. NO BUYER'S PREMIUM WILL BE APPLIED IN THIS AUCTION.
