About Darwiche Chamaa
Darwiche Chamaa was born in Gabon and has been living in Lebanon for 30 years, obtaining his Technical Architectural Drawing Baccalaureate in 1998. He pursued his studies at the Lebanese University’s Institute of Fine Arts and received his Diploma of Higher Studies in 2004. He gained a Master’s in Fine Arts from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) in 2006 and teaches at the Lebanese International University, as well as in other schools. Chamaa has taken part in several group exhibitions in Lebanon, including shows at Solidere, UNESCO Palace and the Sursock Museum. His work has also been shown in solo exhibitions at the French Cultural Center in Beirut and can be found in private collections, including the Farhat Art Museum.
