About Rola El Hussein

Rola El Hussein is a Lebanese writer and painter, born in 1978.

She graduated in 2003, from the Lebanese University Faculty of Art, with a Fine Arts major.

After graduation, she lived abroad in Dubai, Qatar and Istanbul for the last 18 years where she worked in the television industry.

She wrote and published 4 poetry collections & 2 novels, 3 short stories and contributed to several news papers and creative writing websites. 

She painted and printed different themes and showed some paintings in group & online exhibition (Art on 56th & KAF galleries).

She worked on canvas, mostly using acrylic and oil pastel. She also has experience in printmaking (etching, aquatint and acid on zinc).

Rola quit working in televisions and she moved back to Lebanon mid-2021 to focus on painting.
