About Resmi Al Kafaji

Resmi Al Kafaji was born in Diwaniya, Iraq. In 1977, he moved to Florence, Italy, where he continues to reside. He graduated from Baghdad’s Institute of Fine Arts and then from Florence’s Accademia di Belle Arti. His work was exhibited in Iraq until his departure in 1977. Since then, he has been widely exhibited in Western Europe and the Middle East.  

Al Kafaji’s works are in the collections of C.A.O.S. Museum Terni (Italy), the Museum of Contemporary Art of Casoria (Italy), the National Gallery of Jordan, the Museum of Arts and Antiquities of Al Qadissiya University in Diywania (Iraq), and in private collections in Europe and the Middle East.
