About Nazar Yahya

Born in Bagdad in 1963, Nazar Yahya currently lives in Houston. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts, Baghdad. He was awarded the Homage to Jewad Selim in 1997 and received the First Prize for Painting at Emaar, Dubai, in 2004. His work is mainly focused on the experiences of the wars and the post-2003 invasion of his homeland, Iraq.
