About Naim Ismaeil
Naim Ismail was born in Antioch in 1930 and died in Damascus in 1979. He graduated in Istanbul in 1953. He supervised a number of publications and lectured in the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus. Naim Ismail held many solo exhibitions in Hama, Homs, Damascus, Ankara, and Istanbul. He also participated in group expositions throughout Kuwait, Baghdad, Tripoli, Cairo, New Delhi, New York, Azerbaijan, Moscow, Leningrad, Warsaw, Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Berlin, and Paris. His artworks have been acquired by Arab and European parties. Naim Ismail is one of art pioneers in Syria, as his artwork contributed to the art movement in Syria. He uses a simplistic style in drawing geometric motifs. His work was marked by the traditional visual legacy has, and he cited scenes from the Syrian daily life.
