About Boutros Al Maari

Born in Damascus, Syria in 1968. Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts at University of Damascus. He holds a  Degree in Printmaking at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University, Syria. He also has a master's degree and PhD in Social Anthropology from Paris, France. He was a professor assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts at University of Damascus. Syria. He also worked as an illustrator in "Public-Graphics" in Damascus, Syria.

Al Maari has held several solo exhibitions and has participated in a large number of group exhibitions in both Middle East and Europe.

In his paintings, Boutros Al Maari reflects the relationship between time and place, inspired by memories of lived experiences.

Boutros is an author, a writer and a cartoonest in many Arabic and international newspapers and publications.
