About Ahmad Ghaddar

Beirut-based artist Ahmad Ghaddar, also known as Renoz, is a graduate of the faculty of Fine Arts from the Lebanese University. He is primarily driven by his passion for street art and has very interesting conceptual and visual interpretations for various contemporary subjects.  

Since the beginning of the Lebanese revolution(2019), a huge economic crisis occurred. Only a year later, the exchange rate of
the US dollar enormously increased, more than ten times its original value to be specific. In a series entitled “Inflation”, Ahmad aims to manifest this crisis through exaggeration, destruction and reconstruction of the Lebanese banknote by transforming it into a contemporary art piece.
