Amina Zoubir
Follow ArtistVisual artist and videomaker, Amina Zoubir graduated a Master Theory and practice of contemporary art and new media from the University Paris 8 and a DESA Graphic design obtained in 2006 at the School of Fine Arts in Algiers. Her artworks had been exhibited at La Biennale Di Venezia, Algerian Pavilion (2019), and other Biennales at Cairo (2019), Dakar Biennale (2018), Lagos Biennale (2017), Casablanca Biennale (2016), Addis FotoFest (2014), Lagos Photo Festival (2017), Biennale BY14 Yakutsk Russia (2014), and Exhibitions at MAXXI Museum, MUSAC Museum, CAAM, Torrance Art Museum California USA, MAMA Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Algiers Algeria, at group shows at PasaJist Gallery in Istanbul Turkey, Pink Gallery in Seoul South Korea, Vovatanya Gallery in Kharkiv Ukraine, Photon Center for Contemporary Photography in Ljubljana Slovenia, Artos Foundation in Nicosia Cyprus, TAC in Eindhoven Netherlands, French Cultural Centre of Douala in Cameroon, Leonardo Palazzo darte contemporano in Turin Italy. Zoubir was in residency at the Bag Factory in Johannesburg South Africa (2019), at Cité Internationale des arts in Paris France (2014), at Fondation Michelangelo Pistoletto in Bari Italy (2008), at Videochroniques Aflam in Marseille France (2010), Cinémathèque de Tanger Maroc (2013). Amina ZOUBIR was awarded the Varenne Web&Doc FIGRA 2013 (France) with a spécial motion for her performances Take your place during A Summer in Algiers (2012). Her artworks had been included in public collections at Fondation Donwahi (Abidjan, Ivory Cost), FRAC Occitanie Fond Régional Art Contemporain Les Abattoirs (Toulouse, France), African Artists for Development (Paris, France).
