ELIE SAAB X ROADS FOR LIFE :  “Tribute to Life” 

ELIE SAAB proudly presents: “Tribute to Life”, a Harley-Davidson bike customized by the designer for ROADS FOR LIFE. 

Considering this cause, true to the harsh realities of road and traffic safety in Lebanon, ELIE SAAB not only wanted to highlight the dangers that being on the road pose for both drivers and pedestrians, but also design a bike that would pay tribute to ROADS FOR LIFE’s fundamental raison d’être, which is ultimately to help save lives. And so, “Tribute to Life” was born. 

A bike that is a nod to the NGO’s core activity based on the Golden Hour - that period of time following a traumatic injury, during which there is the highest likelihood that prompt and efficient medical and surgical treatment will help prevent death - but that is also a celebration of life. A celebration of the lives saved, rather than lost, through the tireless work and  activities performed by ROADS FOR LIFE.

There are  3 main elements, combined with multiple materials and production techniques, that come together to create the “Tribute to Life” bike. First, the colour Gold, then the roads, elements of danger transformed into ‘Art’, and finally roses, organic symbols of life.. The final creation is a golden bike, with touches of the NGO’s burgundy-red colour, produced with the help of the talented team behind The PieceMakers, that sheds a light on road safety, and through an artistic expression of Beirut’s roadmap, the importance of protecting the lives that fuel & run through our city, country and beyond.
