Laureen Topalian holds a Art History Master, and a Paris Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts diploma. Some of her work is inspired by Painted Miniatures of Iran and India.
She uses these ancient traditional techniques in the creation of compositions with a contemporary aesthetic. In 2008, she won the Saint Exupéry Prize for the illustrated album "Le Prince Tisserand". Her paintings have illustrated several texts, including "Mon Ami Toumanian", a Hovhannès Toumanian collection of poems and tales, of which she is offering original watercolors for this auction. All of the watercolors from this collection were exhibited at the Toumanian Museum in Yerevan in 2011.
