Alfred Tarazi
Follow ArtistMultimedia Beirut-based artist Alfred Tarazi unearths archival images of Lebanon’s fifteen-year Civil War as expressions of his traumatic war experiences. His works examine fragments of memory and the transmission of that knowledge and memory. The artist has held solo presentations at prestigious galleries such as Krinzinger Gallery, Vienna and Galerie Janine Rubeiz, Beirut. Since 2015, his work is housed in the collection of the British Museum. Tarazi was also the recipient of the Middle East and North Africa Art Prize by the Sovereign Art Foundation in 2016.
