Nejat Sati

Turkish artist Nejat Sati was born in 1982. He employs technological innovations and diffuses them in his paintings. Inquisitive about colour interactions and colour transparencies, Sati mixes acrylic paint with a quick-drying gel to create his own material. This procedure allows him to experiment with his art, mostly abstract, and to let it be open to interpretation. Once dried, the gel transforms into a hard plastic-like surface. The result brings to mind a primeval newness to art.
