Lutfi Romhein
Born in Syria in 1954, Lutfi Romhein has experimented with an array of materials, from marble and stone to plaster, bronze and wood. In 1981 he traveled to Carrara Italy where he took courses at the Academy of Fine Arts to complete his studies. Romhein’s sculptures are fluid in form and lyrical in presence, as the artist often blurs the lines between male, female and animal qualities, to arrive at something entirely authentic.
