Rosana Palazyan
Follow ArtistRosana Palazyan was born in 1963, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she lives and works.
She graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from Universida de Gama Filho / RJ (1986) and studied arts at the School of Visual Arts of Parque Lage / RJ (1988 - 1992). Her work configures a variety of media (embroidery, design, installation, performance, video, public art). It promotes experiences and reflections on art, life and society in a listening process, especially with those who are socially excluded. Symbolic exchanges established at the meetings are transformed into works that delicately propose to amplify the voice of these people and sensitize the public’s relation to their issues.
Rosana Palazyan has participated in the 56th Venice International Biennial of Art (2015) for the National Pavilion of the Republic of Armenia, awarded the Golden Lion for Best National Pavilion.
