Leila Nseir

B.1941

Born in Lattakia, Syria in 1941, Leila Nseir graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo in 1963. The unique style of her works centred around humanity has been developed through influence from Syrian modernism, specifically Louay Kayyali and his followers. The trinity in the present work transcends feelings of life and death, tracing to mythology, ancient civilisations and Syrian craftsmanship.
