Born in Egypt in 1946, Yves Hayat travelled to France to study before starting work in the advertising field. From that experience, he engaged in a fascination for images and in the importance of their messages. Hayat uses superimpositions, shifts, and misappropriations to confront past and present, beauty and horror, indifference and fanaticism. He uses modern techniques in his work to report on the history of our society.
