Born in Damascus, Syria, in 1958, Eman Haram currently spends her time between Montreal, Quebec and Amman, Jordan. After having lived in Beirut for 20 years, she moved to the United States to pursue two degrees, a Bachelor’s degree in Science in Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology, and a Master’s degree in Art History from The University of South Florida. Haram is an interdisciplinary artist whose varied life experiences are well documented in her media and subject matters. Her focus is on disturbing the epic standards that frame the world by dividing moralising oppositions such as the mind and the body, the reason and the intuition, etc.
