Born in Los Angeles and based in Rhode Island, Karim Hamid is an artist that emphasizes on social ideologies. Most of his paintings are expressed and represented with a woman figure which is then covered in layers of paint as to distort and exaggerate the subject. Hamid’s purpose is to confuse the viewers and to make them look for details that might otherwise be unnoticed if not viewed thoroughly.
