Known as Bahram, Bahram's art focuses on the human being and his solitude, anxiety and quest for freedom, which he depicts through expressionist elongated faces and bodies, masked by bands and patches of colour. The eyes, hands and silhouettes carry the emotions the artist aims to convey. Bahram left his native Syria when he was 20 years old. He studied arts at the Kunstakademie Münster, Germany from 1978 to 1984 and developed an outstanding talent in drawing. Today he lives and works in Münster.
