Roya Farassat
Follow ArtistRoya Farassat was born in Tehran, Iran and moved to New York in 1978 prior to the Islamic revolution. She received a BFA in 1986 from Parsons School of Design and in 2001 began welding and making sculptures at the Sculpture Center.

Farassat’s work has been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions at galleries, museums, universities and art fairs in United States and abroad at Dubai Art Fair and Jamm Auction in Kuwait. Her work has been reviewed in The Financial Times, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Hyper Allergic, The Brooklyn Rail, Art Radar, Art Critical, The W Magazine, Independent Persian, Iran Times, and Flaunt Magazine along with TV interviews from Persian BBC and Manoto Plus.
