Adel El Siwi

Between 1970 and 1976, Adel El Siwi studied Medicine in university whilst simultaneously studying Fine Arts. After having lived in Milan for a decade, he moved back to Cairo in 1990 where he currently resides. In 1996, he established a pioneer community arts project in Kom Ghorab, Old Cairo. El Siwi is well known for his depiction of the human figure in his art.
