Amal Dagher

Amal Dagher is a multi-disciplinary Lebanese artist who was born in Beirut and studied at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts, where she gained her Diploma in Superior Studies (DES) in 1991. Dagher was awarded a scholarship by the French government to continue her studies in plastic arts at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (ENSBA) in Paris. Since then, she has become known for her vibrant, dynamic abstract paintings, drawings, and collages, which are characterised by organic shapes and rich textures. The themes she chooses to explore in her work are broad, all-encompassing, and universal. Dagher’s work has been displayed at several galleries in Lebanon and abroad, featuring in both solo shows and collective exhibitions.
