Chaouki Chamoun
Follow ArtistBorn in 1942, Chaouki Chamoun is a Lebanese artist who, after being first in his class, was awarded a six year fellowship from the Lebanese University to pursue his graduate studies in the United States. He graduated with a M.A in Painting from the Syracuse University of New York and shortly after, he graduated with a PhD from the New York University. He currently resides in Lebanon where he is the president of the Lebanese Artists Association and also a consultant and founding member of the Lebanese Artists Syndicate. He teaches art at universities such as USEK, the Lebanese University, the Lebanese American University and the American University of Beirut to name a few.
