Abdessamad Bouysramne
Follow ArtistAbdessamad Bouysramne is a Moroccan multi-disciplinary visual artist who was born in 1995 in Marrakech and studied in Casablanca, gaining his degree from the city’s Higher School of Fine Arts. Bouysramne adopts a broad, conceptual approach in his work, in which he often explores humanity, juxtaposed with the process of time. He considers the impact that we have collectively on the future in his art by creating visual archaeological spaces that are intended to awaken humankind globally, reaching and touching the points where civilisations intersect. His bid to capture the conflict between good and evil in the visual space of his work can sometimes lend it a mythical dimension.
Bouysramne is equally fascinated with the theme of writing as a topic of study, including the key historical monuments and artefacts that have recorded our rich history in various formats, from paper to rock carvings. He pursues his studies in pigmentary depictions across various disciplines that range from photography, installation and video to painting. Calligraphy is a key feature in his work, aligned with fresh dynamics and contemporary art trends.
