Dia Batal

Dia Batal was born in 1978 in Beirut, Lebanon, where she majored in Design. She then moved to London to complete her MA in Design and Critical Practice at the Goldsmiths College. Batal often links her works to poetry and literature. She is also intrigued in the way the design of an object can impact people’s lives by its association with cultural and political context in a certain space.
