Zeina Barakeh

Zeina Barakeh is a Palestinian-Lebanese artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her work deconstructs war and is rooted in her experiences of growing up in Beirut during conflict. She has participated in numerous exhibitions and film festivals in the US and internationally. In 2020, her animation Projections From The Third Half [Cloud Storm] was published in Art Journal Open, the College Art Association online journal. Barakeh obtained her BA from LAU (Beirut), and her MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. She currently serves as Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs at San Francisco Art Institute.
