Fadi Balhawan

Fadi Balhawan was born in Beirut in 1966, growing up on the streets of Ras Beirut between RHS, IC and AUB. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the American University of Beirut. He studied Italian at the Italian cultural center in Hamra street.

In 1976, he was heavily injured by a bomb explosion in Hamra street, after which he had to remain in hospital and then at home for seven months. Drawing and writing were what kept him going.

Balhawan is a father of four and is married to Marina Kelaghbian. He has visited many countries including Japan, Germany, Italy, France and the UAE. He rediscovered his artistic calling during the COVID-19 lockdown.
