Nicholas Baaklini
Follow ArtistIn his words: “It all started when I was six and I don't even remember it.”
The credit goes to Nicholas Baaklini’s mother, who gave him a gift for his 35th birthday, a drawing he had done at Notre-Dame de Jamhour school at the age of six. At the time, this drawing had been selected by a jury for year-end artwork.

In 1996, Baaklini returned to Lebanon, focusing on his work as a gynecologist. It was in 2016, when he attended a medical conference in France and happened to pass a shop selling art supplies, that he felt a huge desire to begin painting again. He returned to Lebanon and embarked on his artistic career in 2018, creating large format watercolors.
In August 2019, Baakalini held his inaugural exhibition, accompanied by his first book. In these, he explored the topic of “women and water” under the title 50 Shades of Blue, expressing his love for swimming and the sea, while also showing the height of female beauty.
