Saad Al Tai

Born in Hilla , Iraq 1935.
Has an M.A. degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome 1957.
Professor of painting in the collage of Fine arts Baghdad University, where he was head of the  Artistic Education, and Plastic Arts Departments, for several years.
Member of the Iraqi Artist society and union.
Founded and was head of Italian languages department in the collage of Languages, Baghdad University.
Head of the national committee for plastic Arts , related to the international Union for Plastic Arts.
First Co exhibition with sculptor Khaled AlRahhal , in Rome 1956.
1957 Member of the Association of Iraqi Artists.
Member of the Iraqi-Italian Friendship Association.
Headed the National Committee for Art Education in the Ministry of Education.
Member of the Higher Committee for the development of curricula and teaching aids in the Ministry of Education.
Head of the Department of Art Education and Fine Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts - Baghdad.
Supervised several master's and doctoral dissertations and discussed them in faculties of fine arts.
Chairman of the National Committee of Fine Arts of the International Association of Fine Arts.
Member of the committee to develop the curricula of the Fine Arts Colleges in Baghdad and Babylon.
Participated in the writing of many books and curricula of teaching arts and its origins and chaired the committee to develop the vocabulary of curricula of art education for teachers colleges.
Nominated as an advisor to the legacy of artist Faik Hassan.
Nominated to discuss the establishment of the Arts Olympiad in 2001.
Designed several theatrical settings for many theater directors , such as the celebrated  director Ibrahim Jalal and  was awarded for distinguished Designer by the Iraqi Theater center in 1990.
Was awarded the certificated of Distinguished Professor by the University of Baghdad in 1992.
Several personal exhibitions in and out of Iraq , participated in most of the artistic  festivals that took place since 1957.
He participated in many internal and external exhibitions and has several personal exhibitions.
Received the (Cavalier) order from the Italian Presidency in 2005.
