Ibraheem Al Abdali
Follow ArtistArtist with works which reflects his concerns with form and content. Visuals treated in impressionistic touches with contemporary effects. He is particularly concerned with light and shade in his paintings, especially portraits. All in his work reflects his classical realist professionalism. The content of his topics range from social and political to everyday life topics.
He received in 1965 B.A in Painting Fine Arts Academy, Baghdad and in 1980 M.A Graphic design, Manchester Polytechnic, from the U.K.
From 1966 – 1971 Taught at Jadda, Taif, and Dammam Saudi Arabia, and - 1980 – 1991 Taught at the Institute of Fine Arts, Engineering College (Architecture Department), and Academy of Fine Arts Baghdad ,and 1994 Onwards Art Lecture at University of Petra – Amman.
Al – Abdali is a member of the International Association of Plastic Arts, The Association of Iraq Artists ,- Cairo Atelier in 1976 , The Association of Jordanian Plastic Arts and a Honorary member at the Jordanian Human Rights Association.
Al – Abdali held several exhibitions including Dahran exhibition, Saudi Arabia, 1970 , Several exhibitions inside and outside Iraq, the International exhibition, Baghdad, 1986 , Several Personal and Group exhibitions in Amman, Jordan and Supervised the Iraqi exhibition in Jakarta, 1982.
He was Awarded Lorca Memorial Prize arranged by the Spanish Cultural Center in Amman.
