About This Artist
Born in 1983 in Lebanon, Ihab Ahmad is a Lebanese abstract expressionist painter. Influenced by Juan Miro and Jackson Pollock, his work represents the joy he felt in his childhood amid the numerous problems and threats of the Lebanese civil war. Through his art, Ahmad wishes to convey a message of hope to the new generation. His liked medium is acrylic paint, pen, stencils, collages and mixed media. His work is carried by his imagination, memories of his childhood and the happy moments he experienced growing up. Ahmad founded the Beirut Art Studio, a creative space to teach art and design in Hamra, Beirut. In 2016, his work was acquired by the Minister of Culture of Lebanon for his permanent art collections.
