Aya Hawash
Palestinian artist Aya Hawash earned her Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Lebanese University in 2016. Her work is focused on two important topics, feminism and refugees. Hawash uses black and white in her art, a technique employed to accentuate the situations her characters find themselves in. Another major source of inspiration for Hawash is renowned Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish, whose symbolic poems are translated in her art.
